Bobs and Lolo at preschool fundraiser in Errington

bl-action-packedOne of our favourite children’s musical groups – Bobs and Lolo – is back on the Island Sunday April 5th to help put the fun in fundraising for the Errington Co-operative Preschool. I say “back on the Island” because Bobs (Robyn Hardy) and Lolo (Lorraine Pond) grew up right here in the Central Island area and while they’re travelling around BC and down into the US, they always make time for Island gigs (they were at Qualicum Beach Elementary back in February as well as on Salt Spring and down in Victoria).

We happened to catch up with them during their Spring Break concerts at the Aquarium in Vancouver (that’s Grace and her friend Lisa posing with the duo). The Aquarium is kind of a second home for them because their first album (which continues to be on our kids’ bl-and-girlsplaylists two years later) was all about sea creatures and while Bobs and Lolo are doing more land-based songs on nature and the environment these days, they are Island-born after all :-)

You can catch their energetic stage show twice on Sunday April 5th – at 11am and 2pm – at the Errington War Memorial Hall. As I say, this is a fundraiser for the society that runs the Errington Cooperative Preschool, which has been serving the community for 35 years now. And if you want to get a sense of their music, Bobs and Lolo debuted their videos on Treehouse TV recently, so you can see them there from time to time.
